Job Description

Our Surrey client is on the hunt for a General Manager to help lead a 12-million-dollar company within the architectural building products sector.

The ideal candidate will bring experience managing field-based teams in installation-focused operations such as glazing, building products, or windows.

This role is responsible for overall operational performance including sales and customer service, accounting and field execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience managing service and installation-based teams, with the ability to drive operational efficiency, accountability, and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily business operations across field services, warehouse, administration, and customer support functions.
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, margins, labour utilization, and operational costs.
  • Develop and coach department leaders while building a high-performance, team-oriented culture.
  • Ensure strong customer relationships through consistent service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to support proper accounting processes and timely payment follow-up.
  • Partner with sales staff to create outreach plans for identifying and engaging prospective customers across key market segments.
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to support growth initiatives and market opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards related to safety, quality, productivity, and operational processes.
  • Actively contribute to workplace risk-prevention efforts by following required operational guidelines and promoting safe practices across field, storage, and office environments.
The successful candidate has: 
  • Proven leadership experience within construction services, building products, trade services, or installation operations.
  • Strong operational and financial management capabilities.
  • Experience leading field-based service teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve performance, drive accountability, and lead teams through growth and change.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The salary range is $140,000 to $155,000 depending on experience
