Finance Manager - Edmonton - 19001
Job Description

The Finance Manager will play a key role in financial reporting, planning, and the implementation of new financial systems to support the organization’s growth and evolving needs.
Finance Manager responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the management team, parent company, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and the consolidation of accounting results.
- Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system and financial reporting tools to improve efficiency and modernize financial operations.
- Manage key financial processes, internal controls, inventory tracking, and other initiatives to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead the finance and administration team across multiple locations with a hands-on management approach.
- Develop and implement new systems, processes, and structures to support the organization’s goals.
- Work on special projects as needed to support business objectives.
The successful candidate has:
- An accounting designation (CPA preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of post-designation experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the accounting department of a manufacturing company, with hands-on knowledge of payroll, accounting systems, cost accounting, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability to improve systems and tools.
- Experience implementing ERP systems and other technological enhancements.
- Excellent computer skills, including data modeling and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to summarize large volumes of data and interpret complex information to inform business decisions.
- A reliable, organized approach with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
