Job Description

Our south side Edmonton client is looking for a highly organized and experienced in-office Executive Assistant to provide support to a VP in the professional services industry. This is a full-in-office role and the candidate must live in Edmonton.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities: 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the VP as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee a busy calendar of appointments, prepare expense reports, compose confidential correspondence, coordinate complex travel arrangements, and gather documentation for travel-related meetings as well as presentations.
  • Organize and uphold the VP’s schedule, acting as a gatekeeper and facilitating direct access to their time and office.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP, ensuring they are well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, and follow up accordingly.
  • Serve as the VP’s administrative point of contact, maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all interactions.
  • Research, prioritize, and address incoming issues and concerns directed to the VP, including sensitive and confidential matters.
The successful candidate has:  
  • A track record of 5+ years providing support to a Senior Executive in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
  • Post secondary education or a degree is preferred
  • Experience in marketing and HR  is an asset and preferred.
  • Excellent business acumen and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong proficiency in G-Suite, which includes Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Calendar. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Social Media platforms.
  • Superior proficiency in both written and spoken communication, including outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to easily adapt to shifting circumstances and embrace change.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills, consistently meeting and exceeding deadlines.
  • Adept at analytical thinking and resolving complex problems effectively.
  • Able to work full in office
Compensation and benefits: 
  • Annual Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
  • 3 weeks holidays
