Job Description

Our Downtown Edmonton client is looking for a highly organized and experienced in-office Executive Assistant to provide support to their CEO, and the executive team, in the technology industry. This is a maternity leave position of 10 months and not a fully remote position.

This role is providing support to the CEO and the executive team as well as board support.  A great opportunity to be part of something new and exciting!

Executive Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a busy calendar of appointments for the CEO and executive, prepare expense reports, compose confidential correspondence, coordinate complex travel arrangements, and gather documentation for travel-related meetings as well as presentations.
  • Organize and uphold the CEO's schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO, ensuring they are well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, and follow up accordingly.
  • Serve as the CEO's administrative point of contact for the board of directors, maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all interactions.
  • Create presentations for company-wide meetings, board meetings, executive meetings, and external engagements.
  • Research, prioritize, and address incoming issues and concerns directed to the CEO, including sensitive and confidential matters.
The successful candidate has: 
  • A track record of 4+ years providing support to a CEO in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
  • Excellent business acumen and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience in all areas of board governance; including agendas, correspondence, meeting minutes, follow-up items and all planning is a must.
  • Experience in the technology industry is an asset and preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in G-Suite, which includes Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Calendar. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Social Media platforms.
  • Interested, eager and proficient within the technology industry, likes to learn new things.
  • Superior proficiency in both written and spoken communication, including outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exemplary organizational talents coupled with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional time management skills, consistently meeting and exceeding deadlines.
  • Adept at analytical thinking and resolving complex problems effectively.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
