The Headhunters Recruitment has partnered with Kerkhoff Engineering to add an Engineering Manager to their Chilliwack, BC team. 
 
About Kerkhoff Engineering

Kerkhoff Engineering Ltd. (https://www.kerkhoffeng.ca/) has been providing structural consulting services on projects since 2004. With over 20 years of experience, they specialize in complete precast concrete building systems and collaborate closely with clients across Western Canada.  Their diverse team deliver comprehensive design solutions from preliminary 3D renderings and BIM modeling to complete structural steel and precast panel design.

Kerkhoff Engineering undertakes projects across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. These are primarily large commercial and industrial warehouses compromising of precast concrete wall panels, steel roof, and pile foundations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the structural and drafting department teams
  • Oversee quality protocols, technical excellence, and professional development for the team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous technical development.


Project Management:
  • Oversee and contribute to structural design and analysis for precast concrete and steel structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

What the successful candidate will bring:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) & P.Eng with EGBC or APEGA
  • 7+ years of experience with precast concrete design and/or steel structures
  • Knowledge of Part 4 of the BC Building code, with an understanding of gravity and lateral design loads.
  • Knowledge of current steel, wood, concrete design codes.
  • Knowledge of Revit and structural analysis tools such as Sap 2000 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and project constructability.

In return, you can expect:
  • Base Salary between $155,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.  Those with higher expectations and experience may also be considered
