We have partnered with Legacy Turbines (https://legacy-turbines.com/) to add an Engine Piece Part Inspector to join their team. Legacy Turbines Inc. is a specialized aviation maintenance company focused on providing expert services for Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6-series engines. Headquartered near Abbotsford International Airport in British Columbia, the company offers a full suite of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions for operators around the world. Their strategic location and mobile capabilities allow them to respond quickly to aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity for their clients.

Their services include full overhauls, repairs, testing, and component exchanges. They also offer accessory support such as checks, tests, repairs, and overhauls for engine-related components.

As an Engine Piece Part Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in the core business activities. Your responsibilities will include inspection and minor repair of parts from gas turbine engines to align with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Complete all documents related to the task being performed.
  • Inspection and minor repair of gas turbine parts
  • Ensure behaviors consistent with compliance to quality, health and safety, and business policy.
The successful candidate has: 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, preferably with PT6T, PT6A, PT6B, and/or PT6C.  Experience with Bell 212 Bell 412 / PW100 and PW200, Rolls Royce, or other comparable engines would also be considered.
  • Quality System experience.
  • Experience of working within a Part 145 environment.
  • Problem-solving and proactive approach.
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Committed, focused, enthusiastic.
  • Assertive and adaptable with good interpersonal skills.
Compensation and benefits:
  • Competitive salary depending on experience ($52,000 - $94,000 / $25/hr to $45/hr), plus overtime and benefits plan being offered, including company pension plan.
  • Initial vacation provided is 4 weeks PA accrued pro-rata from the start date.
  • Additional one week of vacation after completion of 3 years & 5 years of full employment (maximum total 6 weeks PA). 
  • Personal time (sick time) is also provided 5 days PA following completion of probation period.
