As Director: Travel Products and Sales, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive operational plans, driving revenue growth, optimizing distribution strategies, and revolutionizing the modern travel experience.

Director: Travel Products and Sales Responsibilities (For Experienced Travel Professionals):
  • Strategically Drive Growth (Leveraging Your Industry Expertise): Develop and implement comprehensive growth, sales, and distribution strategies to significantly increase revenue and expand market share.
  • Provide Executive Leadership (Within the Travel Sector): Direct and mentor the Travel Product and Sales, Partnerships and Growth, Travel Insurance Sales, and Travel Product teams, fostering a culture of high performance and innovation.
  • Negotiate Strategic Partnerships (Using Your Established Industry Relationships): Lead high-level negotiations with key travel suppliers, securing advantageous agreements and identifying lucrative new partnership opportunities.
  • Innovate and Modernize (The Travel Experience): Drive the modernization of travel offerings, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge and relevant experiences that exceed client expectations.
  • Optimize Sales Productivity (Through Proven Travel Sales Techniques): Enhance sales productivity through effective communication, strategic implementation of initiatives, and seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Manage and Optimize Supplier Relationships (Within Your Travel Industry Network): Strategically manage and optimize supplier relationships, ensuring all contracts align with the company's strategic vision.
  • Resolve Complex Client Issues (With Your Deep Understanding of Travel Operations): Proactively resolve complex client issues, providing strategic solutions and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Executive-Level Reporting (On Travel Industry Trends and Performance): Deliver comprehensive reports and strategic plan updates to executive leadership, providing critical insights into market trends and performance.
The Successful Candidate Has (Travel Industry Specific):
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive supervisory or executive management experience within the travel industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Extensive experience within the travel industry can be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful sales and distribution strategies within the travel sector.
  • Deep and current knowledge of the travel industry, including products, destinations, technology, and services.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a history of securing high-value supplier contracts within the travel industry.
  • Demonstrated executive leadership abilities and experience in managing and directing large travel teams.
  • Extensive experience with travel industry technology and platforms.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive executive-level salary range: $110,000 – $140,000+, commensurate with experience.
