Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join our onsite team as a Marketing Manager. You will work closely with the Managing Director of Digital to manage a rapidly growing team. This role involves overseeing marketing initiatives onsite and online, ensuring operational excellence across technical platforms, customer touchpoints, campaigns, capabilities, payments, post-order processes, omnichannel strategies, and all supporting business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Franchising: Lead the growth of our network by developing a detailed campaign calendar focused on driving franchise leads and expanding the Tommy Gun's network.
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead a cross-functional team to build and execute holistic omnichannel marketing strategies that drive customer retention and acquisition, build brand recognition and loyalty, and drive performance and growth in our barbershops.
- Seasonal Campaigns: Strategically lead the development and execution of digital and traditional media campaigns. This includes creating our annual marketing strategy that supports organizational objectives and company goals.
- Performance Management: Manage, measure, and optimize the performance and effectiveness of all marketing programs and lead generation campaigns executed both in-house and through third parties.
- Digital Marketing: Work with the digital team to develop a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that encapsulates our CRM, paid advertising, SEO/SEM, and website.
- Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with third-party agencies (Advertising, Video, Social Media, etc.) to execute initiatives while managing related budgets.
- Strategic Support: Provide strategic support to the leadership team by conducting research and sharing insights to support decision-making.
- Social Media Management: Manage the social media strategy with a focus on branding and engagement to build the online community and drive conversions, which may involve support from external third parties.
- Creative Oversight: Occasionally supervise photoshoots to ensure branding is on point and generates the collateral needed for specific marketing initiatives.
- Collateral Creation: Work with your design team in the creation of print and digital collateral, including the planning and creation of video content.
- Campaign Planning: Work closely with the purchasing team to plan campaigns based on scheduled product launch timelines.
- Shop Openings: Work with the Development and Operations teams to plan grand openings, collateral, and campaigns structured around new shop openings.
- Budget: Manage, create, and report on a seven-figure budget used for brand campaigns, digital marketing, and more.
Requirements:
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate sound strategic thinking abilities.
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing or similar
- 5 years in a leadership role, overseeing projects, team and their responsibilities and tasks.
- CRM, SEO, & Digital Marketing experience
- Vendor Relations: Experience in managing vendor relationships.
- Analytics Tools: Familiarity with Google Analytics and SEMRush is considered an asset.
- Advertising Experience: Experience with Meta and Google Ads, influencer marketing, and event marketing
- Experience in influencer and community engagement.
- Franchise and Branding marketing: experience including multi unit, QSR, and targeted retail location marketing
- Traditional Marketing: experience in local events and sponsorship
- Location: Must be located in Kelowna.
