Director of Finance
Job Description
The Director of Finance will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, overseeing day to day financial operations, and supporting the executive team with insights that guide key business decisions. This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys working with a dedicated team and wants to grow alongside a company that is expanding its presence in the market.
Director of Finance responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and support to the executive team
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and operational processes
- Oversee year end audit requirements and manage external auditor relationships
- Support long term planning, business growth initiatives, and financial modeling
- 3 or more years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
- CPA designation or relevant equivalent
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide a team
- Proven background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong cross functional relationships
- The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
