Job Description
Director of Commercial Property, Corporate Underwriting responsibilities:
- Set, refine, and maintain underwriting guidelines and standards
- Serve as the primary technical resource supporting multiple profit centers
- Identify trends and opportunities to support profitable growth
- Lead and mentor a team, enhancing technical capabilities and leadership skills
- Collaborate with other functional teams to support business objectives
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships
- Stay ahead of industry trends while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Oversee operational activities to drive efficiency, productivity, and alignment with underwriting strategy
- 10+ years of commercial property insurance experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
