Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established commercial mortgage investment organization to identify a Director, Loan Administration & Servicing to lead and scale its commercial loan servicing function. This role is located in Edmonton, Alberta and is required to be on-site. The compensation package is very competitive with excellent benefits and career growth.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a commercial mortgage professional who combines deep servicing expertise with strong people leadership, financial acumen, and operational discipline. Reporting to executive leadership, the Director will oversee the servicing team, ensure accuracy and compliance across the loan portfolio, and act as a key partner to Asset Management and Mortgage Investments.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior servicing professional ready to step into a broader leadership role within a respected investment platform.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead and manage a commercial mortgage servicing team, ensuring workflow efficiency, accountability, and professional development
- Oversee day-to-day administration of commercial mortgage investments, including amortization schedules, interest servicing, and loan payouts
- Ensure servicing accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls and investor requirements
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex servicing matters
- Partner cross-functionally with Asset Management, originations, legal counsel, and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance servicing quality and scalability
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, mortgage servicing, loan administration, or asset management
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial mortgage servicing mechanics
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an asset
- Professional, composed communicator who performs well under pressure
- Salary $100,000 - $120,000
