Job Description

We’re looking for a Development Specialist in the manufacturing industry.

Our client is a leader in tubing and hose manufacturing on a global scale. They are excited to add a Development Specialist to lead the advancement of their PVC compounds and oversee the entire product development cycle for PVC hose and tubing range. The Development Specialist will shape new product creation and refine manufacturing processes.

Development Specialist responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of innovative PVC compound formulations, guaranteeing products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Oversee the development of hose and tubing products, from design to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation.
  • Optimize PVC compound manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, sales, and marketing, to align product development goals with business objectives.
  • Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain our competitive edge and ensure compliance.
  • Offer technical expertise and training to production teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

The successful candidate has: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in R&D, process engineering, or product development, preferably in the hose, tubing, or PVC compounding industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively across departments.

Compensation and benefits:
 
  • The discussed salary range is $70,000 – $100,000, depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
