Job Description
Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for building processes, supporting leadership decision-making, overseeing the day-today accounting functions while contributing strategically to the financial planning to scale the business across North America and international markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the accounting operations and financial reporting functions.
- Oversee SaaS revenue recognition including subscription billing, deferred revenue and recurring revenue.
- Support leadership with financial insights related to growth, retention and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis functions.
- Develop financial models that support growth planning and operational decision-making.
- Support leadership with due diligence related to future acquisitions, financing or investment activities.
- Implement improvements in automation, reporting and financial workflows.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations using technology and AI-enabled tools.
- Build scalable finance processes suitable for a growing SaaS organization.
- Manage and mentor a small finance team.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Relations, Operations and Leadership teams.
- A CPA designation and 5-10 years leading staff in a fast-paced growth company, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
- Experience building or improving financial processes in scaling organizations.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition and subscription business models.
- Proven experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements on a timely basis.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
- Experience supporting venture backed or high growth technology companies desirable.
- Previous experience with financial due diligence, acquisitions or scaling organizations.
- Ability and comfort to succeed in a remote work environment.
- The discussed salary range is between $120,000 - $130,000.
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
