Job Description

The Controller will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial health of the business during an exciting period of expansion.
Controller responsibilities:
- Lead all operational accounting functions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights and financial modeling
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal controls
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
- Evaluate current systems and implement process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to align financial goals with business strategy
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based environment
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead and scale accounting operations in a growing business
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- The salary range is $100,000 – $120,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
