Responsibilities

  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, labour costs, material costs, and earned revenue.
  • Review project forecasts and financial reporting to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to understand site progress, address challenges, and remove operational roadblocks.
  • Support Project Managers with contract administration, cost control, scheduling, and project execution strategies.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader for assigned projects, managing communication, issue resolution, and relationship development.
  • Lead conflict resolution efforts with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to company standards, timelines, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by working closely with safety personnel and project teams.
  • Support regional growth initiatives, including team development, process improvement, and building the company’s presence in new markets.
  • Travel periodically to project sites throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan as required.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction with leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from both operational and financial perspectives.
  • Strong background in steel stud, drywall, wall and ceiling systems, or related commercial construction disciplines preferred.
  • Experience working directly with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Strong understanding of construction budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project profitability.
  • Ability to interpret project financial reports and identify opportunities or risks.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence teams and build strong relationships.
  • A collaborative leader who is firm, fair, and respected by field teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic decision-making with hands-on involvement in project execution.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Adaptable, approachable, and willing to learn and support established company processes.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel between project locations.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in expanding a growing construction operation across Western Canada.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on quality, safety, and successful project delivery.
