Project Manager
Job Description
Our client, a well-established construction company based in Prince George, British Columbia, with a strong portfolio of civil, commercial, and industrial projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support both construction delivery and pre-construction planning. This role is ideal for a construction professional who can confidently manage projects while also contributing to early-stage planning, conceptual estimating, and design-build collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and project objectives are achieved
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Review preliminary drawings and provide conceptual input on foundations, structural requirements, and construction approaches
- Support pre-construction activities including early-stage budgeting and constructability analysis
- Participate in design-build and construction management projects, working with design teams to maintain cost and schedule alignment
- Monitor project progress, resolve challenges proactively, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Coordinate project documentation, contracts, and reporting to support successful project delivery
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles
- Experience managing construction projects valued between $2M – $20M+
- Strong understanding of construction methods, foundations, and structural systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Proven organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to evaluate early-stage plans and contribute to conceptual estimating or pre-construction planning
- Gold Seal Certification
- Experience with design-build or construction management delivery models
- Background in civil, commercial, or industrial construction with preference to civil work.
- Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000+ CAD, depending on experience
