Conduct Resolution Officer responsibilities:
- Handle incoming concerns, or inquiries about the complaint process.
- Provide resolution when possible.
- Analyze written complaints to identify main concerns and assess if they meet legislative criteria.
- Be knowledgeable about the college's standards, code of ethics, legislation, and complaints resolution process.

- Initiate dialogue with complainants to gather additional details.
- Review the regulated member's conduct history and create accurate case files.
- Document and track all communication with complainants, regulated members, and other stakeholders.
- Send letters to complainants and regulated members as directed by CD, ensuring privacy standards are met.
- Monitor complaint cases for progress, consistency, and timely resolution.
- Diarize files for follow-up and maintain a database for efficient investigation support.
- Prepare correspondence, contact parties, and monitor signed agreements.
- Close files upon completion, updating the database, entering closing codes, and following CD instructions.
- Stay informed about industry standards and best practices related to operational due diligence and regulatory matters.
- Develop and maintain expertise in the Health Professions Act, Chiropractors Profession Regulation, Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and other relevant legislation.
- Liaise with finance department regarding development of payment plans per decision orders.
- Follow up and track necessary matters when files are returned from the Complaint Review Committee (CRC).
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree; and/or an equivalent combination of experience/coursework
- Experience or training in motivational interviewing would be considered an asset.
- Experience in regulation of health or other professions would be considered an asset.
- Experience in preparation of high-quality reports and correspondence
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply legislation.
- An understanding of and previous experience with the Health Professions Act is a strong asset
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database file management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to compose correspondence and proofread relevant materials for accuracy and content.
- Lives in Alberta
- Annual salary of $72,000 - $85,000 based on previous experience.
