Winnipeg, MB | Work from home flexibility

Posted: 05/06/2025 Category: Insurance Job Number: 19345 Pay Rate: Negotiable

Job Description

On behalf of a highly respected mid-sized brokerage with a growing footprint, we’re recruiting a Claims Analyst who’s ready to make a real difference in the client experience. This isn't about pushing paper; it’s about becoming a trusted advocate when things go wrong. You’ll be working alongside commercial account executives and insurers, helping corporate clients navigate property and liability claims with clarity, speed, and impact. If you love being the calm in the chaos and thrive in a role where your judgment is key, this is your next big move.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead the end-to-end claims process for mid-market and enterprise commercial clients - focusing on property, liability, and casualty files
  • Liaise with insurers, adjusters, legal counsel, and vendors to ensure timely and fair resolution
  • Interpret policy wording, coverage scope, and exclusions to help guide clients through the claims process
  • Provide regular updates, timelines, and documentation to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Escalate and advocate for clients in contentious or complex claim scenarios
  • Maintain claims data accuracy, spot trends, and provide loss analysis insights to support risk management discussions
  • Support pre-renewal meetings with claims history reviews and strategy input
What You Bring:
  • 4+ years of commercial claims experience (brokerage or carrier background welcome)
  • CIP designation or working toward it (or equivalent experience)
  • A strong understanding of P&C coverages (CGL, property, equipment breakdown, etc.)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills - especially under pressure
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • A client-first mindset with the ability to balance empathy and business acumen
Why You’ll Love It:
  • A highly supportive brokerage environment where your opinion matters
  • Low bureaucracy, high autonomy; you’ll manage your own files
  • Real client relationships, not just back-office admin
  • Opportunity to expand into mentorship or specialty claims areas
  • Downtown Winnipeg location with hybrid flexibility
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The salary range is negotiable, based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Flexibility to grow the team
