Our client, a specialized BC-based civil engineering consulting firm, has been experiencing tremendous growth in recent years. With an impressive roster of projects and more in the pipeline, they are actively seeking a Civil Design Engineer to oversee the thorough completion of the design process according to specifications. The incumbent will be a natural leader, mentoring staff and providing overall direction to the team.

What the Civil Design Engineer Does:
  • Develop designs for projects with focus on municipal engineering
  • Act as liaison between the client and team, ensuring budgets are met
  • Coordinate with internal and external project partners
  • Manage the design team; recruit, guide, and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Operate independently on retained projects

What the company will expect from you:
  • At least 5 years of related design engineering experience working on land development and/or municipal engineering projects, preferably in BC
  • Registered PEng with APEGBC
  • Ability to supervise the design process, troubleshoot problems, and implement resolutions
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to coach less-experience staff
  • Excellent communication skills

In return, what you can expect:
  • Salary range: $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
  • Profit sharing plus generous company perks
