Capital Sales Lead (Mining) - Latin America

The Capital Sales Lead will be responsible for driving business development and capital equipment sales throughout Latin America while leading the development of technical and commercial proposals for complex mining projects.
Capital Sales Lead - Latin America responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and advance capital equipment sales opportunities across Latin America, including Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia.
- Build and maintain relationships with mining companies, EPCM firms, engineering consultants, and regional partners.
- Lead client engagement activities including opportunity qualification, site visits, technical presentations, and solution development.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Manage a pipeline of capital projects and support commercial negotiations through contract award.
- Lead end-to-end proposal development, coordinating inputs from engineering, supply chain, finance, and technical teams.
- Ensure proposals are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and delivered on schedule.
- Support project risk assessments, budgetary estimates, commercial structuring, and contract negotiations.
- Contribute to the development of sales processes, CRM management, proposal templates, and marketing collateral.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, client workshops, and networking events throughout the region.
- 7–10 years of experience in capital equipment sales, sales engineering, technical proposal development, or a related commercial role within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or selling capital projects valued at $1M USD or greater.
- Strong understanding of process equipment, capital cost estimation, and project delivery models such as EPC, EPCM, and turnkey projects.
- Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary proposals and working with international clients and teams.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is considered an asset.
- Experience conducting business in Latin American markets and understanding regional business practices and culture.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Valid driver's licence and passport.
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $120,000 – $150,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission structure. The 1st year OTE range is $180,000 - $200,000.
