Business Development Specialist (Industrial Electronics)

Job Description

The Business Development Specialist will play a key role in growing the company's product line business throughout North America by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, supporting channel partners, and executing initiatives that expand market share and revenue.
Business Development Specialist responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across North America.
- Build and manage a pipeline of strategic customers, partners, and channel opportunities.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and key decision-makers.
- Lead consultative sales engagements, including solution presentations and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to align customer needs with business strategy and support new product launches.
- 5-10 years of business development, strategic sales, or market development experience in a technology-driven industry.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- A proven track record of generating new business, achieving sales targets, and building long-term customer relationships.
- Experience selling complex technical solutions, ideally involving electronics, IoT, SaaS, industrial technologies, or energy-related products.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills with experience working with OEMs, distributors, or channel partners.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in battery technologies, energy storage, or test and measurement solutions is considered a strong asset.
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $120,000 depending on experience plus uncapped commissions. Long term OTE of 150-200K+.
