Business Development Manager - Data Centers (Mission Critical Infrastructure)

Job Description
Our client operates in the temporary power, cooling, and environmental control space, supporting data center construction, commissioning, expansion, and emergency/contingency requirements. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and focused on uptime-critical infrastructure where reliability and responsiveness are essential. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new opportunities within data center projects and building relationships across owners, operators, EPCs, and major contractors.
Business Development Manager responsibilities:
- Develop new business within the data center construction and expansion market
- Engage with data center developers, operators, EPCs, and major contractors
- Identify early-stage project opportunities requiring temporary power and cooling solutions
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in mission-critical environments
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of data center project opportunities
- Position technical solutions during construction, commissioning, and outage planning phases
- Develop long-term relationships across the data center delivery ecosystem
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in technical, industrial, or infrastructure markets
- Direct experience selling into data center projects or mission-critical facilities
- Existing relationships with data center owners, hyperscalers, colocation providers, EPCs, or major contractors
- Strong understanding of data center construction and commissioning lifecycle
- Proven ability to develop new business in complex, long-cycle sales environments
- The discussed salary range is $130,000 – $160,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
