(https://horizontesting.ca/) to add a strategic and technically strong Branch Manager to lead their Western Canadian operations from Prince George, BC.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NDT professional who excels in leadership, field service coordination, and operational excellence.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a results-driven and operationally focused Branch Manager to lead the team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, scheduling, fleet / technician management,and overall, customer satisfaction.

Besides being based in Prince George, the ideal candidate will come from a service-based industry, bring strong technical leadership and strategic thinking.


Key responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day branch operations, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Coordinate and deploy qualified NDT technicians for field and on-site work (including shutdowns and remote locations)
  • Build and maintain client relationships across mining, pulp & paper, petrochemical, and related sectors
  • Monitor work orders, job status, quotes, service metrics, and budgets
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to technical staff
  • Ensure technical integrity and compliance with API, ASME, ISO 9001, and COR safety standards
  • Support continuous improvement and promote advanced NDT technologies (phased array corrosion mapping, eddy current, near drum UT, etc.)

What the successful candidate will bring:
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a service-based or technical operations role.
  • Strong understanding of field service operations and reporting 
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • NDT certification (Level II or III in UT, RT, PT, MT, eddy current, phased array, or related methods) an asset
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in NDT or inspection services an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., multitask, and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In return, you can expect:
  • Base Salary ranging from $100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience.  Those with greater experience and salary expectations may also be considered.
