Job Description

We are searching for a tenacious Bookkeeper to join a team of legal professionals in Victoria, British Columbia. Our client, is looking for a talented accountant to join their established and trusted team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing existing accounting processes.

Bookkeeper responsibilities:
  • General accounting and bookkeeping functions
  • Accounts Receivable / Payables and Reconciliations
  • Handling bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis and proves expense reports
  • Setting up supplier payments and invoices on a weekly or by-weekly account.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Other duties as deemed necessary based upon business and/or department needs
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years of experience as full-cycle bookkeeper/accountant
  • CA or legal background is an asset
  • HR component an asset
  • Knowledge of Quick Books
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and organize
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and accounting software, and aptitude to learn new programs
  • Ability to build relationships 
Compensation and benefits:
  • The salary range is $75,000-$100,000 dependent on experience
