Bilingual Communications Officer (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a hybrid Bilingual Communications Officer in the agriculture and manufacturing industry.

The Bilingual Communications Officer will be responsible for leading the execution of corporate communications while supporting internal teams and external stakeholders with clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.

Bilingual Communications Officer Responsibilities:
  • Provide communications services and support to internal stakeholders, including writing speeches, employee and stakeholder communications, correspondence, press releases, media lines, briefing notes, fact sheets, and other materials that support organizational initiatives
  • Develop, create, and deliver a monthly internal newsletter and a bi-monthly external stakeholder newsletter
    • Oversee the communications calendar and collaborate with internal teams to gather content and inputs
  • Oversee, write, and manage website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational priorities
  • Lead and manage communications tools and platforms
  • Lead the development of the annual report, including content creation, editing, and collaboration with graphic designers
  • Support media relations activities, including monitoring traditional and digital media as well as social platforms to identify issues, risks, or opportunities
  • Respond to media inquiries and support the development of press releases, media kits, briefing notes, and background materials
  • Pitch stories and content to regional, national, and industry media outlets
  • Support the planning and execution of corporate events, partner activations, meetings, conferences, and trade shows
  • Facilitate a consistent approach to risk and contingency communications in support of governance and organizational resilience
  • Manage and maintain risk management and contingency communication documentation
  • Support leadership in the development, evaluation, and refinement of corporate communication strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership
The Successful Candidate Has:
  • Completion of post secondary education in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of relevant communications experience
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis communications planning
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • A customer service mindset to support internal partners across the organization
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • The ability to develop work plans, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills and strong overall technical aptitude
  • Experience working with communications and marketing tools such as WordPress, SharePoint, HubSpot, Mailchimp, media monitoring platforms, social media tools, and website content management systems
  • Familiarity with Canva or other design tools
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal) – essential
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $75,000 – $95,000, depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
