Assistant Controller - 19214
Job Description

The Assistant Controller will support the executive team in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with industry standards.
Assistant Controller responsibilities:
- Audit and verify financial data within the company.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Help manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank deposits, account reconciliation, and cash management.
- Provide documentation and support for audits.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting policies and procedures.
- Assess customer creditworthiness and advise on related matters.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Designation and Canadian experience mandatory.
- Proven experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Strong experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with various departments.
- Experience in internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- The discussed salary range is $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
