Job Description

Due to an upcoming retirement, we’re looking for an Architectural Technologist with retail and/or restaurant experience to join a local architectural firm based in Burnaby, BC.
Reporting to an Associate Architect, you’ll be joining a growing firm with a long pipeline of work lined up. 

Architectural Technologist responsibilities:
  • Preparation of preliminary drawings, kitchen layouts, working drawings and details.
  • Provide contract administration such as shop drawing review/SI/RFIs/etc.
  • Coordinate consultants and engineers, and problem-solve technical issues.
  • Work under the guidance of an Associate Architect
The successful candidate has: 
  • 3+ years minimum experience, with a minimum of 2 years locally in BC
  • Strong technical knowledge in the restaurant and retail industries; or experience drafting shop drawings
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Architecture or Technologist qualification
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated the ability to plan, schedule, and execute assignments of broad scope.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and demonstrate high level of attention to detail.
Compensation and benefits:
  • $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience
  • Those with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
