Aftermarket & Logistics Lead (Mining)
Job Description
Our client is a Canadian original equipment manufacturer serving the mining and industrial technology sectors. They support complex engineering projects worldwide and promote a culture centered on innovation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
The new Aftermarket & Logistics Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end aftermarket workflows, coordinating global logistics, and ensuring seamless delivery of spare parts, capital equipment, and services. This role plays a critical part in maintaining exceptional client service, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
Aftermarket & Logistics Lead Responsibilities:
- Estimate freight, customs, and logistics costs for capital and aftermarket projects
- Triage RFPs and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
- Manage and update spare parts lists (SPLs) integrated with engineering and procurement
- Coordinate with procurement to maintain cost data and issue purchase orders
- Support purchase order and invoice processing; communicate with customers and vendors on payments and deliveries
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, import/export forms, QA documents)
- Execute end-to-end aftermarket workflows through completion and payment
- Liaise with sales, engineering, and management during estimation and quoting
- Support proposal strategy, including pricing, availability, and payment terms
- Ensure timely, accurate quotes and strong client service
- Track shipments, expediting, receiving, and returns; communicate lead times and changes
- Enhance automation of reporting, transmittals, and documentation
- 5–7 years of experience in logistics and/or technical aftermarket sales within natural resources or heavy/industrial equipment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field
- Deep understanding of Incoterms, logistics modes, and import/export processes
- Experience managing 3PLs, warehouses, and vendors across multiple delivery modes
- Experience working with international clients and multi-time-zone teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and ERP systems
- Creative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English; Spanish and Portuguese considered strong assets
- Experience working in international markets and understanding global business culture and ethics
- The discussed salary range is $70,000 – $90,000 depending on experience.
