Accounts Payable Administrator - 19115
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Accounts Payable responsibilities:
- Process and manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions, including invoice receipt, review, coding, and payment processing.
- Verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage the vendor database, ensuring accurate contact and payment information is maintained.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and operations, to resolve any invoicing issues or discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, balances, and account status.
- Prepare and maintain records of payments and financial transactions in accordance with accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Post secondary education an asset
- Experience with Sage is a must
- Strong understanding of administrative and accounts payable processes
- Strong skills set with MS Office Suite
- Proficiency with the English language
- The discussed salary range is $26 – $30 per hour depending on experience
