Accounting Technician (Part Time) - 18978
Job Description
Accounting Technician responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping tasks, including payroll processing, financial record-keeping, and transaction management.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, including cash flow projections and budget monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and prepare GST returns.
- Assist in annual budget preparation and audit processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
The successful candidate has:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping roles.
- A Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting and payroll software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the unique environment of charitable organizations.
- A strong alignment with Christian values and mission, actively demonstrating and promoting these values in their role and in your personal life.
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed compensation is $30 – $35 per hour depending on experience.
- This is an in-office position; 22.5 -30 hrs/week.

Outside of work, she keeps active with her teenager, balancing school, sports and outdoor activities.
