Our client, a highly esteemed professional with vast business interests, runs a private investment firm with a variety of subsidiaries and philanthropic endeavors. In this highly trusted role, you will be a right hand on all financial matters for all subsidiaries, as well as family financial management.  Â

Controller responsibilities:Â
- Report to Controllership on all financial mattersÂ
- Full cycle accounting for several subsidiariesÂ
- Monthly and quarterly reports, cash flow forecasts, payroll support (automated)
- Liaise with tax team to support personal and corporate tax matters
- Ad hoc projects for ownership, some outside of traditional financial roles and responsibilitiesÂ
- 5+ years of commensurate experienceÂ
- CPA designationÂ
- Strong QuickBooks skills
- Proven strong self-management capabilities and strong communication skillsÂ
- Family office management experience an asset Â
- The discussed salary range is $90,000-$100,000 depending on experienceÂ
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be consideredÂ

Georgia first joined The Headhunters in 2012, and over the past decade has had tremendous success placing administrative, accounting and senior finance professionals. In 2017 she was promoted to Branch Manager in Vancouver, and in 2020 became Director of Recruitment. As Director, she managed the recruitment and sourcing teams across Canada, navigating many organizational changes and challenges, including the COVID-19 global pandemic.
In addition to leading the team, Georgia continues to run an active recruitment desk, specializing in the placement of senior accounting and finance professionals. She is a strong relationship builder and thrives on creating win-win outcomes for clients and candidates.
Georgia is passionate about people, both at work and at home, and strives to be a community leader and a good example. She is, with her husband, raising two exceptional daughters and they are making the world a better place.
