Job Description

We're looking for a hybrid Accounting Manager – Maternity Leave for a private investment firm based in Vancouver, B.C. This role is set to begin in late November or December 2024.
 
Our client, a highly esteemed professional with vast business interests, runs a private investment firm with a variety of subsidiaries and philanthropic endeavors. In this highly trusted role, you will be a right hand on all financial matters for all subsidiaries, as well as family financial management.   
 
Controller responsibilities: 
  • Report to Controllership on all financial matters 
  • Full cycle accounting for several subsidiaries 
  • Monthly and quarterly reports, cash flow forecasts, payroll support (automated)
  • Liaise with tax team to support personal and corporate tax matters
  • Ad hoc projects for ownership, some outside of traditional financial roles and responsibilities 
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years of commensurate experience 
  • CPA designation 
  • Strong QuickBooks skills
  • Proven strong self-management capabilities and strong communication skills 
  • Family office management experience an asset  
Compensation and benefits: 
  • The discussed salary range is $90,000-$100,000 depending on experience 
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered 
  • Comprehensive benefits package
