The Cost Accountant will play a key role in analyzing financial performance, improving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and contributing directly to the success of each project.
Cost Accountant responsibilities:
- Analyze project and operational costs to identify key cost drivers and recommend improvements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy
- 3–5 years of relevant cost accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and project-based accounting
- Experience in engineering industry is considered an asset
- The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
