Job Description

We’re looking for a remote Account Manager in the industrial equipment and oil and gas industry in Northwestern North Dakota.


Our client is a North American manufacturer of engineered equipment used in oil and gas field operations. This role is focused on managing, supporting, and growing existing strategic customer accounts across North Dakota and into Saskatchewan and surrounding regions. The Account Manager will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring clients receive a high level of service and support.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys developing long-term customer partnerships, expanding existing business, and serving as a trusted advisor to key accounts.
Account Manager responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts
  • Build strong relationships with operators, contractors, and service companies
  • Identify opportunities to expand product adoption within existing customers
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business review meetings
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support customer requirements and resolve issues
  • Develop account growth plans and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Monitor customer activity, market trends, and competitive developments
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and account records
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years of account management, sales, or business development experience in Oil & Gas
  • Experience working with customers in oil and gas, industrial, energy, or technical industries
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing complex customer accounts and multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based territory role
  • Experience with technical or engineered products is considered an asset
  • Technical aptitude and comfort presenting equipment-based solutions and giving technical support to clients when needed
  • Must be able to travel throughout North Dakota and Southern Saskatchewan, including cross-border travel as required

Compensation and benefits:
  • Base salary of $120,000 to $130,000 USD depending on experience
  • On-target earnings of approximately $160,000 to $180,000 USD, including incentive compensation
