Account Manager
Job Description
Our client is a locally owned, service driven business that has a strong family culture with long employee tenure and is investing in sales growth to better support its expanding customer base. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a defined territory through consultative selling, relationship development and new business generation within accounts.
Account Manager responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B customer accounts
- Develop new business within existing accounts and assigned territory
- Prospect and self generate leads through in person outreach
- Build long term customer relationships through a service led approach
- Plan and manage territory by geography and revenue segmentation
- Conduct all client meetings in person, primarily in the field
- Collaborate closely with operations, service and administrative teams
- Approximately 5 years of B2B sales or account management experience
- Experience selling into industrial, oilfield, retail supply or similar environments
- A consultative, relationship focused sales style
- Strong organization, time management and territory planning skills
- Confidence using computers, sales tools and quoting systems
- The discussed base and on target earnings range is $75,000 – $95,000 depending on experience
