Job Description

My client, a leader in the Real Estate industry, is looking for a Managing Real Estate Broker to join their elite and rapidly growing team in Mission, B.C. The Managing Broker will be responsible for recruitment and retention, supporting realtors with client relations, and ensuring that compliance standards and provincial standards are met.

The ideal candidate for this role must be a strong leader, with proven real estate skills, who is able to align with the overall strategic direction of the brokerage by fully understanding our client’s challenges and provide solutions. Our client is committed to providing flexible options for this role, with the opportunity to full time or part time broker and an additional opportunity to sell should the candidate wish to.

Managing Real Estate Broker Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the brokerage, staff, and associates are adhering to all company policies and procedures and abiding by all legal requirements and practices
  • Acts as the bridge in the brokerage between leadership team and associates by managing concerns and issues effectively
  • Performs contract reviews to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions in a timely manner and advises associates in contracts and sales transactions
  • Oversees and manages brokerage performance goals and strategies as well as the implementation and meeting of targeted goals
  • Guides and initiates brokerage public relations in growing the brokerage’s associate and customer base
  • Providing coaching and training, to new and tenured associates, by providing mentorship, support as well enhancing knowledge and understanding of risk management, federal and provincial laws, and contracts.
  • Manages audits and consumer complaints as well as mediating issues between the brokerage and associates if required
  • Manages all aspects of recruiting and retention of existing associates, including mentorship, feedback, and performance reviews
  • Supports and promotes a positive company culture through integrity, collaboration, support, and transparency
The successful candidate has:
  • Holds an active, up to date, Real Estate Managing Broker license
  • Proven track record of managing a small to medium brokerage; managing relevant aspects of compliance
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
  • Ability to quickly solve problems using good judgement
  • Ability and interest in working with a startup brokerage to develop and build to 18+ realtors
  • Ability to assess risks and manage them in accordance with sound logic and company policies
