Accountant
Job Description
Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis, starting immediately. This is a 100% in-office role working 35 hours per week. The Accountant will work closely with a designated senior accountant/manager and support full-cycle accounting functions within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Accountant responsibilities:

Assist with full-cycle accounting processes, including account reconciliations and month-end support

Perform full-cycle reconciliations including bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts

Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation

Support financial reporting and variance analysis
-
Work closely with a designated accountant to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes
-
Assist with accounts payable and receivable as required
-
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
-
Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
-
Contribute to process improvements and internal controls
-
Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
The successful candidate has:
-
2+ years of accounting experience in a professional office setting
-
Experience supporting full-cycle accounting and reconciliations
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
-
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment
-
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
-
Background in a public accounting firm or residential property accounting environment is considered an asset but not required
Compensation and benefits:

The discussed salary range is $50,000 – $60,000 depending on experience
