Job Description

Our client, is a corporate office located in Downtown Vancouver, BC. They are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to support their HR Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about people operations and wants to grow on a collaborative team. You’ll support key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with recruitment, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process by preparing documentation, coordinating orientations, and managing checklists.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee files, both physical and digital, in compliance with BC privacy and employment legislation.
  • Update and manage data in the HRIS and internal tracking spreadsheets.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and time-off.
  • Assist in the organization of internal events, training sessions, and engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, memos, and presentations as needed by the HR team.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and employment standards regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to HR and Payroll teams.
The successful candidate has:
  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR supportive role, recruiting, or staffing firm experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Familiarity with BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. BambooHR, ADP, Ceridian) is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $50,000-$55,000.
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Potential to work from home 1 day per week.
