Job Description

We are looking for a full in-office HR Manager for 3 days a week in the manufacturing industry in Mississauga.

A pioneer in their industry, our client is a global leading manufacturer and are excited to add an experienced, part time, HR Manager to join their team. In this newly designed role, the HR Manger will oversee various aspects of human resources within an organization, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. You will play a crucial role in shaping company culture, fostering employee development, and ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements. This is not a remote position.

HR Manager responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations:  Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and issues from employees in Canada and the USA.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate recruitment activities such as posting job openings, screening candidates, and managing the onboarding process.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in both Canada and the USA.
  • Remuneration Harmonization: Establish and implement an employee grading system to ensure equitable compensation across Canada and the USA.
  • Performance Management: Assist in performance review processes and provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update HR documents, policies, and procedures specific to Canada and the USA.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate records.
  • HR Data Management: Manage HR databases and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee records.
  • Employee Development: Support employee development initiatives, including training and career development programs.
The successful candidate has:
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of 6+ years of generalist experience in human resources
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. and Canadian compliance and employment law.
  • A CPHR designation is an asset
  • Health and safety experience is an asset.
  • Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities, ensuring business needs are met with superior research and analytical abilities, and attention to detail
  • Solid business acumen, integrity and ethics.
  • Self motivated, able to work independently and able to meet deadlines
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the organizational culture with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to commit to 3 days a week in the office in Mississauga.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
