Associate Director of Finance - 18989
Job Description
Our client is a well-known Canadian educational institution with an excellent reputation and corporate culture. The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with leadership on daily financial operations and have oversight on financial statements, audit and tax functions.
Director of Finance responsibilities:
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Maintain and improve financial policies and procedures
- Manage annual financial statement reporting and audit process
- Oversee an accounting team, set expectations, coach and mentor and provide a supportive environment to an excellent team
- Collaborate with department leaders on key corporate initiatives
The successful candidate has:
- 5+ years of experience
- CPA designation (completed)
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS
- Strong technical skills, and implementation experience an asset
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- The discussed salary range is $130,000- $160,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered

As Director, she managed the recruitment and sourcing teams across Canada, navigating many organizational changes and challenges, including the COVID-19 global pandemic.
In addition to leading the team, Georgia continues to run an active recruitment desk, specializing in the placement of senior accounting and finance professionals. She is a strong relationship builder and thrives on creating win-win outcomes for clients and candidates.
